Hello friend, in general your strokes in the lines part are smooth and reliable, in the ellipses part only some of the ellipses table do not touch the edge but you kept the smoothness and confidence of the stroke in most so it is fine and in the part of boxes, in approximate perspective some of the horizontal lines were inclined a little and remember that they must be kept horizontal

Next Steps:

It is a very good job and I think you are ready to go on to the challenge of the 250 boxes, remember to choose 3 exercises from lesson 1 and practice them for 5 minutes each each you start a drawing session

  • When drawing ghosted planes, I've noticed how you get the inner diagonal lines correct (corner to corner, but then draw a cross right in the middle of the planes, which is incorrect due to perspective. The way you can fix it is by having this cross run through where the diagonals meet, inside the plane. This spot actually marks the true middle lines of the plane, in perspective.

  • Your elipses are pretty good and fit nicely next to each other, except that some of them are running at a different angle. Try to keep that angle consistent throughout.

  • Rough perspective shows that you can definitely work more on converging lines. A lot of them are way off the VP.

  • I think that you're ready for the 250 boxes, just based on how well you did the rotated boxes exercise. You could always improve the linework as some of them are wonky, but that can be done throughout the challenge.

Next Steps:

Mark the center lines of the planes correctly, not in the middle but instead where the diagonals meet. Apart from that, move onto the 250 box challenge. You can always come back to these exercises as warm ups before you start a session of drawing your boxes, so you don't need to "perfect" any of them at all.

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
