Lesson 3: Applying Construction to Plants

I'm back!
So, I know you saw I had problems with confidence in my lines in the patreon chat, and it's because I'm slightly rediscovering how I'm supposed to be drawing with my arm, since I realized I'd been wrong to hover before.
I do sometimes find myself using wrist for really small lines, especially really tiny ellipses, but I've been told off for it plenty on discord and will keep working on not doing that...
I had one specific question about when drawing branches:
If I end up failing to seal the end of the branch off because I overshot the side line so it went past the ellipse (which you'll see some cases of in the Black Tacca), should I actually be trying to cap it off with a new ellipse? I know the lesson describes not capping the branches off as a mistake, but I get the sense that trying to draw a new ellipse to cap it off would just be like I'm trying to cover up the mistake of overshooting.
Overall, definitely felt very challenging, but also very fun. I think I maybe didn't try hard enough to really understand the shape of the petals for some flowers, but I at least tried to make sure I made a solid effort at it.
Panda suggested I do the snapdragon and I'm pretty sure he wanted to see someone else struggle with it like he had to haha.
I worked top to bottom on the flowers there (except the ones that haven't bloomed at the top, I did those last) so that's the order of progression of me further understanding how the petals are actually shaped.
I also had it pointed out to me by Elodin that I probably constructed the back leaves of the Black Tacca wrong. I figured I could draw the spines and connect together their sides, but it makes sense that I probably should be trying to draw the sections of leaves around the spines and then connec those together instead. I tried to mind it more for in the lower lips of the flowers for the snapdragon.
That being said, I did have a lot of fun with this, and it felt like a great lesson to try to get back in the swing of things with. The added freedom of trying to construct myself was really fun, so I hope I also did ok at it!
