Hello!

I've been studying Drawabox for quite some time (since 2024 really), and even after some dificultys of trying to understand things and being busy with alot of stuff, i managed to be a lot more patient with myself and devote as much of my time to do it!, im happy to get as far as i am right now ( something i didnt think i could be capable of)

Thank you, and hope to improve more in the future :)

I can see your lines in the ghosted lines exercise are a bit wobbly, maybe you didn't use your whole arm to draw them. In the rough perspective exercise, try to keep the width lines parallel and to the horizon and height lines perpendicular to the horizon. I think you also forgot to add lineweight to the organic perspective exercise. Good job on completing lesson 1!

Thank you!, In regards to what you said, The ghosted lines exercise, i was not accustomed to drawing with my whole arm back then,so if need be to redo it and send another picture, then i can do so no problem.

I can also redo the rough perspective and organic perspective for the lineweight aswell.

All to say, thank you!. I've been doing drawabox for a year by now and im happy with my progress on the course so far! Thank you for the response, i appreciate the help, and also apreciate the critique!, looking foward to progress even more on the course :)

The Art of Brom

The Art of Brom

Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.

The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
