Hello everyone! It's nice to be apart of this community. It took me a while to complete Lesson 1, but I feel confident that my skills will improve eventually. I am about to start the 250 boxes challenge so feedback would help a lot.

Thank you!

Looks like your lines are committed and controlled for the most part. There is a slight wobble to very few lines (might be because you want to hit the endpoint), but overall okay. Ellipses are tightly looped (though watch out for when it sometimes doesn't hit its neighboring ellipses or frame). Overall, you seem to have a pretty good grasp of line work basics.

Next Steps:

You should definitely try the 250 boxes challenge next if you haven't started yet!

Hey sho!

First of all, as I am a beginner in drawing, please let me give my beginner POV's feedback.

To begin with, your line exercises are really perfect for me. However, in a funnel exercise, some of your ellipses are not symmetrical to the minor axis in my view. Moreover, in rough perspective exercise, some of your horizontal and vertical lines are not parallel enough and seems to be arched.

Overall, your drawings are better than mine :) . Please feel free to give feedbacks to my work as well. I've uploaded already.

Have a nice day!!!

Next Steps:

You are ready for 250 box challenge.

Color and Light by James Gurney

Color and Light by James Gurney

Some of you may remember James Gurney's breathtaking work in the Dinotopia series. This is easily my favourite book on the topic of colour and light, and comes highly recommended by any artist worth their salt. While it speaks from the perspective of a traditional painter, the information in this book is invaluable for work in any medium.
