hi amerain 123

Organic Arrows

  • from what im watching you did understand the concept pretty well, you did apply perspective so its alright

Organic Forms

  • the first ones were great the degree changes and everything is fine, but the second ones, some ovals do have that "overshoot", but the majority doesnt, that overshoot is more for your perspective, for understanding that what youre drawing is a contour some partial x rays so that overshoot is important, so try to start with the ghosting method for an oval and also start with an overshoot, also in the second one almost all have the same degree, for example if in your first drawing you try (in your mind), to eliminate the other half of the oval to only get the "surface contour", youll see that some are more "curvier" than the other, this is because they all have different degrees

texture analysis

  • this one is pretty good, you didnt have any mistake here, you did the transition, also you didnt draw rhe forms only the shadows, so everything here is alright

dissections

  • this one is amazing, i did love the pineapple, this one is amazing

form intersections

  • this one is great, the only thing is that you didnt fill the page, you made like a path where you did put all the figures, but i think you did understand the concept, so this one is ok, also you applied the line weight in all the perimeter more than locally where the line touches others, but other than those two things i dont see anything wrong

organic intersections

  • this one is pretty food, everything was right except on some "worms", that their shadow did stick to the form, but otherwise than that, its ok

hey, english is not my first lenguage if you dont understand something let me know, ill explain it differently, also ill appreciate a review of my work, try to do it honestly even if its rough

Next Steps:

ill recommend to only do the second page of organic forms but with an overshoot, otherwise than that it will be complete also try to vary the degree on those, as if you were doing normal x ray contour

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
