Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

Hi,
Looking forward to receiving some feedback on this lesson. I also already did the 250 box challenge but I'll create a separate post for that now.
Hi! I just finished lesson one too, and I'm not an expert, but maybe my feedback will be of help.
I think your ellipses came out too wobbly, maybe you're hesitating when you're doing them? Remember you're supposed to use the ghosting method and draw them fast and confidently. It's more important that the lines come out smooth than the placing or shape of the ellipse. (But it's still good to keep an eye on that). Also, I read that you're not supposed to redo the lines even if they come out wrong, (which I am very guilty of doing too), just wanted to point that out. In the rotated box exercise, I feel like the boxes in the corners aren't really rotating, but that's okay because this one is really hard. Keep an eye out for wobbly lines, remember to always plot your lines with dots, and I would say maybe it'd be good if you redid the ellipses exercise.
Next Steps:
I think just working on ellipsis and doing them fast and smooth would be good.
Hey, sorry for the late reply. I proceeded with lesson 2 for some time and now came back for this revision.
I redid a page of each of the ellipses exercises.
I feel the lines are less wobbly now but doing the lines faster to reduce wobblines does worsen the precision of ellipses. Some of their positions are more off now.
Hey! sorry for the late reply here too! I think they are definitely better now. I think precision shouldn't be your number one priority, as that will get better as you go on. But I really like your ellipses now!
When it comes to technical drawing, there's no one better than Scott Robertson. I regularly use this book as a reference when eyeballing my perspective just won't cut it anymore. Need to figure out exactly how to rotate an object in 3D space? How to project a shape in perspective? Look no further.
