By date marks you may realize that it took me about a year to do the texture part. It was quite a challenge which I postponed and restarted several times over.

You may also see that I did 2 pages of texture analysis, one dedicated solely to paper and the other to different 3 textures. This was my idea of atoning for the sin of taking so long to even begin, however silly that may sound.

During all that time I never stopped doing warmups with arrows and sausages, hence why I ended up with way too many pages of those and decided not to redo Lesson 2.1 Exercises in 2021.

All that said, I will accept whatever verdict.

Hello,

Nice improvement over the year, your textures look awesome! Actually all exercises are done well not much to nitpick.

Good luck in your art journey!

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
