hello there
welcome to draw a box. We are happy to know that you enjoyed the challenge.
i'll be looking over your lesson 1 , so lets seewhat we have got here,
Lines : I see confident superimposed lines so thats a plus point. Some lines at the end seems as tho it is about to fray from the begining end as well, so i recommend you to try to minimize that. You have good ghosted lines too, just some wobbles here and there. make sure to draw from your shoulder and ghost your lines. it is very important to do so. In ghosted planes, it seems you were struggling with the middle line, since most were drawn away fromm the centre point. In this case as well, i recommend you to ghost until you feel where the line should be drawn at. Ghosting will really solve the matter.
Ellipses : Smooth lines you have there in table of ellipses. The problem i see is , ellipses overstepping the boundaries, and it seems you have drawn through them 3 times (not really a mistake, but keeping it 2 times will help us see properly). i see ellipses being stiff in the lowest row of 2nd page. All you have to do is ghost and draw from shoulder for both confident outllook and accuracy buildup in over some time. Same with ellipses in planes as well. In funnel exercise, the ellipses arent aligning to the major axis and minor axis too . here. Go through the article again and improvise on how you can avoid this mistake. i think you drew too less funnel and the funnel on top left corner isnt how a funnel exercise is supposed to be done.
Boxes : Pretty good with plotted perspective. Organic perspective is good too , because you were careful with your lines. dont worry about perspective not being very accurate because you can learn them more in next challenge. Your rotated box doesnt so much feel like they are rotating. here. you are fine with organic perspective. but the lines are begining to arc here, so constantly remind yourself to draw from shoulder until it becomes a habit.
Next Steps:
i am marking this lesson complete, becuase overall you have done a fine work. I recommend you to practise this daily (if possible) as a warmup exercise inorder to train your hand in better markmaking. i was a little skeptical about your funnel exercise but its fine as long as you include those in your warmup exercise.
so, best of luck in 250 box challenge
