I've noticed throughout lesson 1 and the few boxes I've done so far in the 250 box challenge, that I always seem to redraw my lines if they are "inaccurate" or "wobbly" or dull. Because of this bad habit contradicting how I should be drawing lines, I've come to ask for help to get out of it. Thank you to any respondees who can help.
You just have to stop it on your own will. It won't be a Cinderella transformation, you won't learn it overnight; however if you remind yourself to stop doing it while drawing, you will eventually break away out of that habit. One of the reasons the course utilizes pen instead of pencil was to get out of the perfectionist mindset, to remove the ability to erase and try to do it better. Don't worry about it, try to do better for the next drawing, and move on when you mess up. The exercises in lesson 1 will help you make better lines, make sure you are doing your warmups before doing other drawings. A lot if it is just muscle memory, you'll get a feel for it eventually after a lot of practice.
"Inaccurate" lines could be from the lack of preparation before making the line. I catch myself all the time when I make line and realized I did not ghost before hand which led me to overshoot or accidentally lead off-course far away from the intended destination. Wobbly lines can come from hesitating or drawing from hand/elbow, make sure to not go slow when making lines and imagine each line is a samurai making a swift clean cut through bamboo. Uncomfortable has a comic on it.
Make sure to go over lesson 0 and 1's text and videos again because they go over these topics in better detail.

Every now and then I'll get someone asking me about which ruler I use in my videos. It's this Wescott grid ruler that I picked up ages ago. While having a transparent grid is useful for figuring out spacing and perpendicularity, it ultimately not something that you can't achieve with any old ruler (or a piece of paper you've folded into a hard edge). Might require a little more attention, a little more focus, but you don't need a fancy tool for this.
But hey, if you want one, who am I to stop you?
