Congrats on finishing Lesson 1

I'll start by saying your line work is impressive and very consistent. Your line homework is good and it seems you understood the point of the exercises. Same with ellipses, great job.

For your box exercises it looks like you got the concept of VP and the relationship of parallel lines in a 3D cube. Your rotated box exercise also looks satisfactory.

On the organic perspective: While your cubes are consistent in quality they are also consistent in size, which doesn't give it much depth as the boxes closest should be larger. It's expected that some boxes won't line up well and as such some of yours appear distorted. Following the Y shape method helps as it shows the three lines that the rest of the box will line up with. This way you can avoid conflicting lines in your boxes. No need to worry since you'll be getting a lot of practice with the next part.

Next Steps:

Be sure to look over the page on foreshortening your boxes and move on to 250 Box Challenge.

Thanks for the critique on my work.

Surely, I'll try to improve the quality of boxes and the perspectives. Also I'll take care of conflicting lines and foreshortening in the boxes too and move on to next one.

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
