Hey KIZUTSU thanks very much for your patience in waiting for the critique.

My name is Phobic and i will be doing your Critique today. for this critique i will seperate the criticism into three sections LINE, ELIPSES AND BOXES where i will discuss the good, not so good and next steps.

LINE SECTION:

Super Imposed Lines:

For the super imposed lines you seem to have done a pretty decent job. there is no evident fraying on both sides and the lines appear to be confidently drawn. my only critique here is there is a small amount of wobbling in some of your longer lines and curved lines but i'm sure this can be ironed out over time in warm ups.

Ghosted Lines:

The lines here have been drawn very confidently and smoothly. however there are some areas you can work on whilst doing this exercise again in your warm ups in future specifically working to improve your line accuracy and also fixing a small amount of arching in your lines as your lines appear to curve very slightly on a couple of your lines.

Ghosted Planes:

For the ghosted planes exercise as you have presumably used the same planes for the elipses in planes exercise i will only look at the planes here and vice versa in the elipses section. for the planes themselves you have drawn the lines very confidently and smoothly with the planes lining up very neatly close to one another in a visually appealing manner. outside of a small amount of arching in a couple of your lines there is not too much i can see wrong with these. for next steps with this exercise i highly recommend working to improve your accuracy with drawing through the cross in the center of the plane as in some planes it does not quite go through the center. however again this is a pretty strong submission.

ELIPSES SECTION:

Table of Elipses:

The elipses look pretty confidently drawn. it is clear looking at these that you have ghosted and drawn through your elipses at least twice. a couple of areas i would suggest being careful with is the spacing between your elipses and and the size of them as a couple of your elipses overlap or do not quite touch both the top and bottom lines of their section. that aside these are very well and confidently drawn so good work.

Ghosted Elipses in Planes:

For your elipses you have done a good job confidently and neatly drawing them within the planes and having them line up on all 4 sides. one area for improvement which i will suggest is to be a bit more careful not to distort your elipses as a couple of them start to deform slightly with a couple turning into a water droplet like shape or become a bit more wobbly when you have been trying to line up the elipse to all 4 sides. this should be something you can solve through focused practice in warm ups later so no worry's for now.

Funnels:

For the funnels exercise you have done a great job keeping the elipses aligned on the minor axis, this can be a little bit tricky so well done. for my points of critique it is pretty much the same as the table of elipses section where you should be observant as to the spacing of your elipses as a couple of them tend to overlap as opposed to only touching the sides.

BOXES SECTION: (THE FINAL BOSS OF LESSON 1)

Plotted Perspective:

Not too much to say about this section. the boxes look good and the perspective appears to have been drawn correctly no real issues here.

Rough Perspective:

There are a couple of nit picks i have with this section but generally the lines appear to have been ghosted properly and confidently and you have done a good job plotting your points back to the VP. however i noticed that some of your lines were a little bit wobbly which you may want to be a bit cautious about but this can be ironed out in warm ups. one thing i did notice however is you drew over a couple of your lines where you may have drawn a line slightly curved or at an angle a noticeable example is the top left box on the first pannel of the second page. its generaly not advised to do this but instead to show the mistake and learn from it moving forward in the task. but outside of me nitpicking you did a good job well done.

Rotated Boxes:

To preface this is probably in my opinion the hardest task of lesson 1. you have done a pretty decent job rotating the boxes although it feels like they could have potentially been rotated a little bit more at the ends check out this resource for more info:

outside of that the only major critiques i can offer for this task is your line spacing between boxes is a little bit inconsistent resulting in some of your boxes appearing slightly off angle and also some of your lines are a little bit squint specifically the rear faces of the boxes. outside of this however this was a very strong submission well done.

Organic Perspective (WOO! only one task left)

I don't have too much to say on this task as its pretty good. the lines are pretty smooth and confidently drawn with minimal wobbling which is normally what i look for in these critiques. for future attempts i noticed in your first page there wasnt a wide range of shape and rotation for your boxes. this is not a significant issue as you will do this more in the 250 box challenge but if you ever do it again it is something to consider. anyways yeah i dont have too much to say here lets head to the closing statement.

CLOSING STATEMENT:

Looking at this submission it is very clear to me that this is a high quality submission with lots of time and effort put in. outside of the previous points i raised in each section i have no significant issues with any section here so i will not ask for any re-dos and i will mark this as complete congratulations. for next steps i recomend continuing to do the lesson 1 exercises as warm ups and to begin work on the 250 box challenge.
