I'm also a beginner working on the first lesson, so this is coming from a classmate rather than a teacher or a tutor.
To me, this looks good. Your lines don't wobble, and they seem to be in the right places.
I have one criticism:
On the longer lines that take up the whole page, I noticed that there was a lot more fraying at the beginning of the lines. I would try to practice eliminating the fraying at the beginning of the lines.
Like in the video, at the end of the line, fraying is normal and to be expected because we're drawing quickly.
But maybe try to be more careful when you initially place the pen on the paper so that the fraying doesn't occur at the beginning.
Good luck to you!
I will be posting mine for critiques this weekend, so wish me luck too.
Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens
Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.
Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
