250 Box Challenge

I tried my best to do it slowly, not rushing, really understanding what I was doing. I definitely saw a big improvement throughout the challenge.
Great job completing the 250 box challenge!
I can definitely see the improvement you made throughout your process. From the beginning, you hatched the side of the box facing the viewer and extended the lines in the right direction. You also experimented with the orientation of your boxes. Many of the things you struggled with in the beginning resolved as you got to the end of the assignment such as:
Wobbly lines
Parallel lines
Diverging lines
A few pointers I want to give:
Hatching lines: Although your hatching did improve, it's still a bit wobbly. Remember to draw from the shoulder with every mark you make.
Line weight: adding some subtle line weight to the contours of your boxes will make them feel more solid.
Spacing: You did well by drawing the recommended 5-6 boxes per page. Try to keep the boxes a bit further away from the edge of the paper to give more space to your converging lines.
Aside from that, I think you should move on to the next assignment. :)
Next Steps:
Continue to lesson 2.
Thank you! I tried to do bigger boxes, to try and get more steady with longer lines. But I now notice I should try some smaller ones, further from the border, to check the convergences better.
Thank you for the advices! I'll add it to my warmups.
No problem!
This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.
Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
