I finished this lesson several months ago, and I'm catching up with uploads now that the website is up. That being said, any and all critique is welcome :D

Overall pretty good job. You do have a bit of wobble on your ellipses, so remember that confidence > accuracy always.

On the organic perspective you have some issues on perspective that I'm sure you worked on in the box challenge, so nothing to worry about.

On the funnel exercise remember that the minor axis has to cut the ellipses in 2 even halves, so don't forget to aim for it.

Next Steps:

Overall p good job so I'm marking as complete. Next step is box challenge, though I think you've already finished it. Nevertheless, keep up the good work! I'll try to go over your next lessons as soon as I get through the previous submissions. Good luck!

The Art of Brom

The Art of Brom

Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.

The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
