Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

left handed btw :)
Hi,
I've looked through your work and these are the things ive noticed
Lines
Your lines are confident and accurate but this leaves a number of lines prone to arching or wobbling. Make sure you prioritize flow over accuracy to avoid getting wobbly lines. The arching can be solved by thinking about arching your lines the other way when ghosting and avoid drawing the line until you can ghost a perfectly straight line 3 times in a row at least. Use your judgement here. Your ghosted lines overshoot but hopefully its something that improves over time. Other than that, it's looking good. Keep working on it. On the ghosted planes, your didn't plot the points for the + lines. Remember to do that so you don't have to guess. You can replot them once you draw the line, that's it.
Ellipses
Overall, there a bit of wobbling in your ellipses and thats something that can be worked on in the future. In the ellipses in planes. Focus more on the shape of the ellipses rather than keeping them within the boundaries of the plane. Your ellipses in funnels look nice and symmetrical, you can think about narrowing down ellipses toward the center of the funnels and widening those toward the outside of the funnels to give them more depth in 3d space. Other than that, theres not much to say. It's pretty good. Great job!
Boxes
In the rotated boxes, your starting boxes were alright. The front faces each have their own VPs the way they're supposed to. Some of them risk sharing the same outer VP however, so be careful with that. A number of back faces misalign, remember that they correlate with the neighboring boxes in some way. The diagonal boxes are another matter. These boxes are on 3 point perspective. This means another added dimension that converges somewhere. Where exactly? You use neighboring boxes to give you a clue. How helpful those are depends on how well they turned out and how good your spatial reasoning is. A number of these don't converge properly or at all. On the organic perspective, the edges of the boxes are too parallel to each other. The boxes need proper convergence to show more depth to them, especially those closer to the viewer. There's not much rotation in 3d space either. You also want to draw more overlapping boxes. On those boxes, you want to superimpose the silhouettes to clarify which boxes are in front, giving more line weight to the closer boxes and less to those farther away.
Do the superimposed lines and ellipses as a 10-15 daily warmup. Alot of the spatial challenges are covered in the 250 box challenge.

thank you so much for the feedback! :)
never knew that you also need to plot points for the ghosted plane , my bad, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks again! :)
Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.
The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
