Hi! This was unexpectedly fun...

If all goes well, I'll be starting a long awaited lesson after a few challenges! Perspective is something I'm really keen to get on. Let me know what you think of these! Particularly the legs. Thanks!

Hey! I'm not really qualified to give feedback but I wanted to say that your work seems really clean. I've been struggling with lesson 5 for a little while and have been looking at other submissions for inspiration. I see that you did some of the foxes that I have been trying to do - I can definitely see how you are using construction to build the torso / body out larger from the initial sausage - whereas I was having a tough time by making the initial sausage (and the ellipses it is based on) too large.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I hope you keep going on Drawabox. This lesson was really fun to do, and while I don't know if my work is as clean as you say (?), I appreciate the comment, thank you very much!

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
