Hahaha sorry if I seemed mad. But you definitely didn't follow the instructions. Why not boobs? Because boobs aren't enclosed forms like sausages are.

Let me make myself clear: I'm not criticizing the FINAL QUALITY of your work. What's wrong with your textures? You definitely didn't cram as much detail as you could in the squares in the left, you scratched and hatched (which is a major mistake), they are too simplistic (literally more than half the space is blank).

It's okay if you don't want to redraw them. You do you I guess. But if you actually want to learn from these lessons you should.

Are you even following the 50% rule? I get that you want to have fun and doodle. But don't to it in these pages. Do it separately. This kind of mixed practice ends up with you neither enjoying the doodling nor learning effectively.

Im happy with my final two excersices. the beginning of lesson 2 was very tedious and it took me over 3 weeks to finish the textured blobs. so at some point i did hurridly finish it as to not get too stuck.. sacrificing practice and knowledge for motivation.

Ive heard about this 50% rules 5 times now. im guessing its something he talks about at the beginning which ive forgotten. is this some fogmatic mantra instilled in ever Drawabox aprentice? Is this some vital tule ive missed ?

Edit: TL:DR I have severe problems with motivation. rarely do anything out of own volition and doing lessons and tasks is a way to learn a skill i never thought i could. (im not creative ) I have hours upon hours ahead to make up for the 50% rule.

The 50% will help you with your motivation problem. And I think everyone is creative enough. Best of luck.

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
