Lesson 2: Contour Lines, Texture and Construction

Hey all.
I admit I struggled here lol.
Thanks for any advice in advance.
Arrows follow the principles of the exercise, but using line weight could make the overlaps a little clearer. The Dissection continuity is broken in the couple places making just floating faces or cylinders. Textures are done well, though, with the silhouette being broken to great effect. On the Intersection exercise the shapes are drawn large and clearly, but the intersection lines are almost non existent. When thinking of these intersection lines remember that they can only be drawn where both shapes exist, with the intersecting lines following the body of the shape in front. The Organic Intersections should be in one pile not several smaller ones on the page, but this is the only issue since the cast shadows look good and they all follow a general layout.
Next Steps:
Overall the exercises are done fairly well, but it is important to stick to the instructions in the exercises. I think this work qualifies you to move on to the next lesson, have fun with plants.
When it comes to technical drawing, there's no one better than Scott Robertson. I regularly use this book as a reference when eyeballing my perspective just won't cut it anymore. Need to figure out exactly how to rotate an object in 3D space? How to project a shape in perspective? Look no further.
