My first attempt at the exercises in lesson 1. It is extremely rough despite my best efforts.
I need to work on my straight lines and my ellipses and also get used to drawing with my shoulder.
I will probably try the 250 boxes challenge next.
Some of these were indeed rough. Especially the beginning exercises where it seemes a bit rushed. Although lesson 1 encourages making confident lines, it doesn't imply that you should be making these lines as fast as possible. The goal in lesson 1 is cleanliness. The ellipses also need to be drawn over twice not once. I would advice you to not take the super-imposed lines and table of ellipses lightly.
On the other hand, your boxes are good. The lot of the boxes perspective are inconsistent but overall it only needs a couple of tweaks in order to be amazing boxes.

Next Steps:
Please revise super-imposed lines, table of ellipse, and funnel exercise. Your submission in the funnels exercise has most of the ellipses in the same degree. The funnels should have its center ellipse to have the smallest degree and the ellipses at the end of the funnels to have the largest degree.
This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.
I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.
No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
