250 Box Challenge
9:51 PM, Sunday March 20th 2022
After a couple of months I was finally able to complete the 250 box challenge. I've got to admit this challenge made drawing boxes a whole lot of fun.
Thanks in advance!
Your linework is very smooth, nice job on that. I like the way the three back corners converge really well.
One big thing that I noticed is that several of your boxes have horizontal or vertical lines instead of a vanishing point, meaning the boxes are no longer in 3 point perspective. These boxes were supposed to all be 3 point perspective.
As far as I can tell, you only did this for a total of 14 boxes. I don't think that's so many that you need to do a revision (I know I personally messed up way more than 14 boxes). Just keep in mind what perspective you're supposed to be working in.

Lesson 2
Congratulations on completing the challenge!
While I have a massive library of non-instructional art books I've collected over the years, there's only a handful that are actually important to me. This is one of them - so much so that I jammed my copy into my overstuffed backpack when flying back from my parents' house just so I could have it at my apartment. My back's been sore for a week.
The reason I hold this book in such high esteem is because of how it puts the relatively new field of game art into perspective, showing how concept art really just started off as crude sketches intended to communicate ideas to storytellers, designers and 3D modelers. How all of this focus on beautiful illustrations is really secondary to the core of a concept artist's job. A real eye-opener.
