Good evening, i am Paradosso and i will be critiquing your work today. First off i want to congratulate you for sticking through all lesson 1, on to the critique:

• SUPERIMPOSED LINES: some lines tend to be very wobbly, this may be for various reasons (you may have rushed it/focused more on precision rather than flow or are trying to adjust to the shoulder movements). While some have fraying on only one side the majority has it on both sides, this is not good and could be caused by not taking enough time to position the pen on the same point.

• GHOSTED LINES: overall this is a pretty good page, you seem to be hitting level 2 consistency quite often. Only downside is that some lines tend to arc, this can be caused by not drawing from the shoulder or because your brain thinks an arched line is a straight line, if this is the cause then you should try and consciously arch your ghosted line to the opposite direction so that your brain can slowly rewire itself. Also, keep in mind that accuracy is not as important as flow. Your main objective right now is to make confident lines rather than accurate ones.

• GHOSTED PLANE: a good page as well. Some lines tend to arch or be a bit wobbly but if you apply what i said in the ghosted lines you should see improvements in other exercises as well.

• TABLE OF ELLIPSES: most of the ellipses are pretty snuggly together but there some things to point out:

  • The ellipses are really deformed, this may be caused by either not applying the ghosting method thoroughly or by executing the ellipses by the wrist.

-Some ellipses are drawn over more than 3 times. Make sure you pay attention to that, the best case scenario would be 2 times but 3 is also ok.

• ELLIPSES IN PLANES: some of the ellipses are drawn well but the majority aren't:

  • a couple of them are only drawn over once

  • a good chunk of the ellipse don't follow the + lines and don't touch all the side of the planes, instead they intersect with one of the lines from the × section

• FUNNELS: a solid page. The only nitpick is that the smaller ellipses tend to be less snuggly than the longer ones but overall they are pretty good.

• PLOTTED PERSPECTIVE: another solid page. Everything checks out.

• ROUGH PERSPECTIVE: the exercise is executed well, the only thing that brings it down is the quality of the lines, make sure to take as much time as needed when doing this exercise as a warmup.

• ROTATED BOXES: the gaps are tight and you have drawn through your boxes which is a good thing. The only problem is that the majority of the boxes are not rotating but instead converging towards the same vp

• ORGANIC PERSPECTIVE: the exercise was executed very well. While there are some divergences the majority are actually drawn well and the ghosting is also better than previous exercies, the convergences are shallow so that's good as well. Only heads up i'd give is to be a bit more extreme on the dimension of the boxes since they seem to be almost all similar in size.

FINAL THOUGHTS: You've put lots of effort into this but i'd like a revision of some exercises
