Should I restart drawbox?

hello! A little question here, I had been trying to complete the 250 box challenge for a long time but I had moved from apartment to apartment more times that I wished in this last year and had been really inconsistent with the 250 box challenge I'm finally getting in a point where I have some kind of stability in my life and looking back on some of the exercises I don't know if I should continue with the challenge or with drawbox altogether or if I should restart before continuing with the lessons, at this point I'm barely over the half of the boxes doing like 4 to 6 3 days of the week and 3 days of the 50% Rule but I had some pauses that ended up extending to months, I would appreciate anny comments thanks!

(Sorry if my message is hard to read English is not my first language)

While I do believe it is in your best interest to start over (going back to Lesson 0 and reviewing everything from the start), when you get back to the box challenge, I think you should continue from where you left off, rather than starting it from scratch. Of course, be sure to review its instructions carefully, but if you find your work applied those instructions to the best of your ability, continue it rather than starting the challenge over.

Understood! just one last question regarding indications, once i get back to the box challenge I have to finish the challenge in order to continue with lesson 2 right?

That is required for those on the official critique track, and highly recommended for those getting free community feedback.

Hi Antonio! I would NOT start all over again from the very beginning if I'm allowed to give you a suggestion. If you stopped last year, I would consider doing some of the exercises from lesson 1 again for a few days, going quickly over lesson 0 again if you feel the need (always good to review the rules of how to go on the Draw a box lessons), then I would start from where you stopped and set a realistic goal to complete the challenge. It took me a while to complete it, almost 3 months, I stopped a few times but then when I was halfway to the end, I set a goal like drawing 4-6 boxes 4/5 days a week not to take much longer than it had already taken me, it worked fine for me, and now I'm super excited to go on with lesson 2!

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
