I'd appreciate if anyone can give the time to critique my lessons so far!
Hey! You're ahead of me lesson wise so I can't comment on the boxes haha, however I will do my best to critique the earlier ones!
1) The superimposed lines seem good, it looks like the scan is only partial though so I can't see the very beginning of the lines
2) the ghosting lines have a light bit of wobble in some, but those are only a few, make sure to be confident when "going in for the kill" haha, you also seem to be arching below the point you're trying to hit, try to consciously aim the opposite direction and muscle memory will eventually pick up the fix.
3) The ghosted planes x and y axis lines that you draw, after drawing lines corner to corner, seem to be off centre a lot, but still perpendicular, so you have the right angle, but you need to perhaps take a moment more to figure out where the centre of the line is, usually I hover my pen in the centre, and then I pull it up,down, left, right when I need to and returning to the centre to find each one. Again, some lines have a slight bowing, so I'd say to make sure you're drawing from the shoulder and not resting your arm on whatever surface you're using
4) Eclipses are great! In the ghosted planes they're very accurate and hit most of the sides if not all, it seems you have that down pretty dang well, a few small ones with wobble but there aren't many.
5) Eclipse planes again look great, you have good control over the smallest ones even (which I struggle with!)
6) Lastly funnels, looking good but some eclipses are slightly off centre and/or not pressed against other eclipses, but again those are only a few, the rest look great!
Sorry I can't comment on the boxes but I hope I've helped so far! Keep up the good work "Plant God 27", may the plants be kind to you, and your dominion over them prosper haha
Thank you so much for the critique! I'll definitely think about what you said while I continue onwards!!
When it comes to technical drawing, there's no one better than Scott Robertson. I regularly use this book as a reference when eyeballing my perspective just won't cut it anymore. Need to figure out exactly how to rotate an object in 3D space? How to project a shape in perspective? Look no further.
