Posting my lesson 1 homework! Hopefully good enough to start the box challenge
Hi, good job for completing lesson 1, I'll do the critique for your homework.
Superimposed lines: The lines seem to be fraying a bit on the longer lines, but I think it's normal. Overall, you did a good job.
Ghosted lines: The lines are wobbly and not really confident, like you are not ghosting the line. I want you to do another page and take your time ghosting the lines.
Ghosted planes: The planes are very good. Good job.
Tables of ellipses: I'd like for you to redo the exercise completely. The ellipses are within the bounds but aren't touching most of the time. They are not confident. I think you should ghost them more. You need to take your time doing this exercise. One thing that worked for me is going a little slower drawing the marks. I suggest rereading the page of this exercise and maybe watch some videos of someone doing this exercise.
Ellipses in funnels: You did a good job overall. The minor axis is cutting the ellipses in half most of the time, but the problem you had in the tables of ellipses exercise still persists. But I don't want you to redo this exercise.
Plotted perspective: You did well on this exercise. Good job.
Rough perspective: You did a good job with the perspective, but the lines aren't confident enough. I think you should redo one page of this exercise.
Rotated boxes: This exercise is done perfectly. Good job.
Organic perspective: This exercise is difficult. You did a good job here too. The boxes aren't perfect, but you will improve in drawing them during the 250 boxes challenge.
In short, I think you should redo the tables of ellipses, one page of rough perspective, and one page of ghosted lines. After this, you will be ready for the 250 boxes challenge! Good job.
Just saw the reply, will do! Should I post the new exercises here or go straight to the challenge?
after you post the exercise I will review them and after that you will be able to go to the box challenge

Right from when students hit the 50% rule early on in Lesson 0, they ask the same question - "What am I supposed to draw?"
It's not magic. We're made to think that when someone just whips off interesting things to draw, that they're gifted in a way that we are not. The problem isn't that we don't have ideas - it's that the ideas we have are so vague, they feel like nothing at all. In this course, we're going to look at how we can explore, pursue, and develop those fuzzy notions into something more concrete.
