Good job on getting through the first lesson I'll be checking your homework today.
Lines
You lines are incredibly wobbly, I'm not sure if you misunderstood the ghosting method or simply need more practice, remember that a confident line is more important in draw-a-box than an accurate one, its okay to go slightly beyond your marked dots so long as the line in between is mostly straight
Ellipses
Elipses are alright, remember to use the shoulder and take your time when ghosting the circles, you want to get a fluid motion using your whole arm before drawing them
Boxes
The only exercise I have some concerns with is rough perspective, I can't really tell where your point is on the horizon line, the lines go a little too far and they seem to be all over the place, not really converging on one point, remember to ghost your line all the way to the point on the horizon before marking it down for the box, if you need to, make the dot on the horizon line bigger, that helps with keeping your eyes on track.
Next Steps:
Before moving on I'll require 1 Page of Ghosted Lines and 1 Page of Rough Perspective
Take your time to use the ghosting method on pretty much every mark you make, don't rush it and take breaks if you need, I suggest watching Uncomfortable's video on the ghosting method if you are not sure if you're doing it properly.
And remember: Confident lines are correct, accurate lines come with time and practice
Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens
Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.
Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
