Help with out of place box corners

I'm doing the first 50 boxes of the 250 boxes challenge, so this doesn't really apply yet, but it bugs me every time I do the organic perspective excercise for homework, soo here we go.

Let's take an example: https://imgur.com/a/1UWOdSB

After drawing the Y, I placed the bottom-most point as a corner, which I believe makes for a valid box(?), and then draw the box based on that. If I place the first corner in an awkward position like that that (dramatic foreshortening and/or rotated), I always and up with it looking out of place at the end. What's going wring here? How do I do it properly?

Ultimately the reason we've got students drawing 250 boxes is that the process of drawing a box and applying the line extensions to analyze how it came out and whether the convergences are consistent, is one that requires a lot of repetition to develop your ability to estimate those convergences (and in turn, improve your ability to resolve those corners and construct boxes that appear more solid). So, while the answer to this isn't a satisfying one, it's just... practice.
