LINES
Super-imposed lines:
(+) There isn' much wobbling, you drew the lines confidently.
( ) You frayed on both ends (check:https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/13/fraying) at times, but not much so thats okay
Sum: I would pass you. the goal isnt perfection but drawing confidently from shoulder.
Ghosted lines:
There are three levels to this exercise. (https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/14/levels) Your work is at level 1-2, not 3.
(-) Some lines are arching and also not confident (not wobbly) enough.
( ) You overshoot a lot.
Sum: I would pass you. the goal isnt to reach level three within this lesson but to learn more on ghosting method.
Ghosted planes: Would pass you.
ELLIPSES
Tables of Ellipses:
(+) You drew through ellipses two to three times.
Sum: Looks good, would pass you.
Ellipses in Planes
(+) You have confident lines
(+) You went through them two to three times
Sum: Its a pass for me.
Funnels:
(+) Your ellipses are not loose, they are within the funnel.
(+) The spacing is good in between ellipses.
(-/+) Some of the ellipses are not aligned (https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/18/notaligned) but the point is not perfection anyways.
Sum: I would pass you.
BOXES
Plotted perspective: Nothing much to say, would pass you.
Rough perspective: Done perfectly, would pass you
Rotated boxes: Looks like its rotating, you drew through the boxes and they are nicely put together, would pass you.
Organic perspective: You submitted more than two pages so I dont know which ones to take into consideration but it doesn't matter that much because it looks okay to pass. It needs improvement but the improvement will happen in the future while working on other exercises anyways.
FINAL
I think you did good, I am passing you.
Next Steps:
You should follow the %50 rule: (check https://drawabox.com/lesson/0/2/50percent also https://drawabox.com/lesson/0/2/faq and https://drawabox.com/lesson/0/3/warmups)
PS: as for the warmups, I have a link to a randomizer so here it is: https://jsfiddle.net/smdk9Lng/13/
PPS: My name on discord is Sopefully, and I would really appreciate it if you could give me a critique as well when I submit. If you would be willing to do so, can I send the link to my submission to your dm? or ping you in the server once I submit?
The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw
Right from when students hit the 50% rule early on in Lesson 0, they ask the same question - "What am I supposed to draw?"
It's not magic. We're made to think that when someone just whips off interesting things to draw, that they're gifted in a way that we are not. The problem isn't that we don't have ideas - it's that the ideas we have are so vague, they feel like nothing at all. In this course, we're going to look at how we can explore, pursue, and develop those fuzzy notions into something more concrete.
