25 Texture Challenge - must all textures be different?

11:43 AM, Monday November 28th 2022

Hi there, so I want to start the 25 Texture challenge and I was wondering if I could repeat a few textures or if I should restrain from doing that.

The reason is, that I messed up badly with one texture and I want to try it again. Maybe not straight ahead (for example, I did that texture as my first row, so I'm gonna try it again in the 5th row, not in the second one.) Is that okay? Or should the 25 textures be strictly different from one another?

Thank you and greetings.

Once or twice is fine - but doing so regularly is something to avoid.

Gotcha. Thanks!

Color and Light by James Gurney

Some of you may remember James Gurney's breathtaking work in the Dinotopia series. This is easily my favourite book on the topic of colour and light, and comes highly recommended by any artist worth their salt. While it speaks from the perspective of a traditional painter, the information in this book is invaluable for work in any medium.
