Hello Surfleek and welcome to drawabox! Overall you've done a pretty good job, but there are a few important things I want to talk about, let's go through everything section by section!:

Starting with your lines you're doing a great job committing to your lines and drawing them confidently even if they're going to miss then ending dot, which is just what we're looking for!

The only things are that I can see is that sometimes sometimes I can see a bit of fraying at both ends of the lines, make sure that whenever you draw a line you carefully place the pen at the starting dot so the lines can fray on maximum one end.

And the other thing is that sometimes your lines get a little bit wobbly at the ending of them, I know it's hard to control them but keep doing your best to make them fully confident. Try to experiment by drawing some lines to a full stop and others by lifting the pen of the page right as you finish drawing the line, they might make it a bit easier.

Moving onto your ellipses they're confident just like your lines on the lines section, which is exactly what you're meant to do! The accuracy on them is good as well just like in lines.

Main thing on the tables of ellipses is that you are drawing through the ellipses too much, try to draw through them 2 times only to keep them cleaner.

On tables of ellipses you're still doing a good job drawing them confidently! The only thing on them is that the shapes of the ellipses are sometimes I little bit skewed. You might be thinking that the centre of the ellipses is the same as the centre of the planes or that you should modify the elliptical ellipse shape so it touches the contact points, but this is not the case. Ellipses have to be symmetrical and have the same shape regardless of where they are, so the only things you can change is how wide the ellipse is and which position it is in.

Lastly on your funnels sometimes you aren't aligning the ellipses to the minor axis. Make sure you always aim for the ellipses to be cut symmetrically by the middle line even if that means you need to ignore the initial curves. Pay also attention to the angle of the ellipses as well. They have to be cut symmetrically by the line, so they can't be tilted.

Finally in your boxes a few things:

-Overall you didn't get confused by the boxes and you kept the confident lines you were making on the lines section, good job!

-Main thing on this section is that sometimes you repeat lines that were off. No matter how off a line is do your best not to repeat it, keep going as if it was correct as redrawing them will make the drawing messier and can encourage bad habits.

-On rough perspective you are making some great attempts at the perspective of the depth lines, but you seem to have trouble at times keeping height lines perpendicular to the horizon line, and width lines parallel to it. I know it's hard, but make sure you always are aiming for it. You can check if the starting and ending dots are correct or not, and if you find that they aren't you can change them. You can put down as many dots as you want as long as it's before drawing the actual line, so give it a shot!

-On rotated boxes you've done a great attempt apart from the line issues I mentioned. Most boxes are rotated and all are kept close together, good job! The only thing is that some of the boxes on the outer ends aren't rotating and have some diverging lines. Don't worry about this as you'll work on it on the box challenge though!

-On organic perspective you're doing a good attempt as well. Main thing here is that you are adding too much lineweight. Whenever you add lineweight do it with only one extra superimposed line to keep it subtle and only on the parts of the lines that overlap, not to the lines completely. And make they are confident, just like the normal superimposed lines.

Other than that you are already doing some good attempts at the perspective, they have issues, but just like on the rotated boxes you'll work on it on the box challenge, so nothing to worry about!

Overall like I've already said you've done a good attempt, but I want you to do one more page of rough perspective to make sure you can approach boxes without repeating lines and drawing them confidently. Good luck and keep up the good work!

Next Steps:

1 page of rough perspective

Hello, good job! You are drawing your lines confidently and not repeating them anymore! The main thing is that I can see some thinner lines sometimes, and I think that's because you're drawing them while ghosting accidentaly, so try to be more careful about that.

The starting and ending dots of lines sometimes get pretty big as well, so remember to make them always as small as the lines you're going to draw, because otherwise it gets harder to assess the results of the ghosted lines exercises.

That said overall you've done a good job like I said on the previous critique, so I'll mark this as complete.

From now on you need to do warmups before every session, so don't forget about them! And make sure you ask any questions you might have. Keep up the good work and good luck on the box challenge!

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
