Hello and congrats on finishing lesson 1. I'll be looking over your submission today. Your superimposed lines are looking very nice. You are keeping a clearly defined starting point on these and I am seeing a lot of improvement by the second page. Nice work. Your ghosted lines and planes turned out very well. You are using the ghosting method to great effect and are achieving very smooth and confident linework. While your accuracy isn't quite there yet that is something that will grow with more and more practice.
Your table of ellipses is looking good as well. You are doing a great job drawing through your ellipses and focusing on maintaining a smooth ellipse shape. This is carried overy very nicely into your ellipses in planes. You are doing a great job focusing on nailing that smooth ellipse shape instead of slowing down to try and accurately fit your ellipse into the plane which is a problem a lot of students have with this exercise. Accuracy is your ultimate goal but being able to nail that smooth ellipse shape every time first is the priority right now. Your ellipses in funnels are looking fine for the most part. I think the one complaint I would have about your ellipses at this point is that you are sometimes drawing through a few too many times. On some of these it looks like you are drawing through 4 - 5 times. Try and limit it to 2 - 3 times max. It will make your ellipses look much cleaner. There's almost always room for improvement when it comes to drawing ellipses but these are off to a great start.
Plotted perspective looks good nothing to mention here. Your rough perspective box exercise turned out pretty well. You are keeping up with the ghosting method and are still getting that confident linework. You did a good job extending the lines back on your boxes to check your work. As you can see some of your estimations were off but that will grow with practice. I'm noticing a few cases here and there where you are starting to redraw lines that you felt like you drew poorly the first ime. If you are using the ghosting method and drawing confident lines you are much better of sticking with one well drawn line that is slightly in error than just adding more lines to the situation which tends to make the image look sloppier over all and adds more confusing information.
You did a pretty nice job with your rotated box exercise. Great job drawing through your boxes and keeping your gaps narrow and consistent. You are running into a few issues with not rotating your boxes enough which is a pretty typical problem students have with this exercise. But overall this was a very good attempt. https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/16/notrotating Finally your organic box exercise turned out very well. You are keeping up with that smooth confident linework throughout and your box convergences are already looking pretty good.
Overall this was a really great submission. You are doing a really great job understanding all of the concepts these lessons are trying to teach and showed a good amount of growth working through these exercises. I see that you already did the 250 box challenge but it's still going to be 2 weeks before you can submit that for critique so keep up with these exercises in your warmups. Good luck with lesson 2 when you get there!
