Should I start over after joining after finishing half of DaB?

I just made an account on Draw-a-Box and I am nearing the end of Lesson 4. Should I continue forward or start fresh?

That's a lot of work you've already done, to be redoing everything from scratch! Do you still have your previous homework available? You can scan/take photos of them and upload for community/official feedback, if you want to get critique. No need to restart completely -- unless you've taken such a long break from DaB that you feel that you need to redo the entire course to regain drawing skills. (Even so, you can do warmups/practices of the previous lessons to decide if you really need to restart completely, it may all come back to you anyway.)

If you are on the official path then I can't answer. If you are on the unofficial one I would say press on from where you left off and go back over exercises only if you need to.

What's the difference between the "official" and "unofficial" path?

It depends on whether you're getting critique from Uncomfy and his TAs (paid) or community critique (free).

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

Right from when students hit the 50% rule early on in Lesson 0, they ask the same question - "What am I supposed to draw?"

It's not magic. We're made to think that when someone just whips off interesting things to draw, that they're gifted in a way that we are not. The problem isn't that we don't have ideas - it's that the ideas we have are so vague, they feel like nothing at all. In this course, we're going to look at how we can explore, pursue, and develop those fuzzy notions into something more concrete.
