Thank you in advance to anyone willing to give critique. Pages are labeled 1-21 (but since I used the backs of pages as I went page 2 is technically page 1.5). So in order it would be page 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, and so on. I'm already aware that I need to work on maintaining straight lines and avoiding wobbling. While I did think I got better as I went (barring an occasionally bad box), even by the end I was having trouble lining up vanishing points. If my points were too far I ended up with several lines that were parallel. If the point was too close I had trouble judging the orientations of my lines (even after several ghost line strokes). This often results in the lines connected to the hidden vertex being the worse. In those situations I tried to get all three directions for the hidden vertex somewhat correct rather than 2 right and one really wrong. But any advice on improving my vanishing point tracing would be appreciated.

Hi!

Saw your submission on lesson 2, so i came to see your 250 boxes, and i've nothing about to say: Congrats and very good job. Maybe you're not satisfied, that happens to all of us, but it's a major achivement to tackle this challenge and finish it.

I'm currently working on lesson 2, so i don't feel ready to critiques someone else exercises, so hope someone else critique your other submission.

Thank you! And I understand the critique comment. I only just started feeling comfortable enough to critique lesson 1 and I've been done it for weeks. Best of luck with the rest of your lesson 2!

I'll give this submission an agree.

However, the hatching on the front plane needs to be mindful and not scribbling. Imagine each line of the hatching to be the same as the lines you make to complete your box. This'll also give you mileage in drawing lines, an opportunity which you've let slip by.

Right, I'll keep that in mind in the future. Thank you.

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
