Thank you so much for the critique! I'm glad to hear that my submission is mostly perfect and that I'm clear to move on.

The wobbles are a bit of a problem, yes. Trying to split my priorities between both accuracy and cleanliness. I'll keep looking for my ideal speed to try to avoid those slight wobbles.

As for the redrawing planes, I assume you are referring to the chicken scratches that line too many of the planes. Those are all accidental, unfortunately. I would ghost my pen too close to the paper and make a mark by mistake. I am still trying to fix that issue without compromising accuracy of my ghosting phase.

And I'm glad that my rotated boxes stand out that much! The corners are definitely lopsided, but glad it was better than I thought.

As for the three sections, yeah. I am trying to follow that method for my organic boxes. I certainly do not have full mastery over the method, of course. Still trying to make a perfectly proportioned cube for every box I plan.

Regardless, thank you again for your critique! I wish good luck to the both of us for our next steps in this shared journey.

i guess you're doing it, but what helped me with wobbling and speed was 15 min warm-ups. Just pick one random exercise L1 and keep practicing. And good luck with 250 boxes, you will master your cubes there :D

Now that I am done with lesson 1, I will definitely get to doing the 15 minute warm-ups. It should help with the wobbling like you said.

And yep, thank you!

The Art of Brom

The Art of Brom

Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.

The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
