I picked up figure drawing again in April 2020. This album is my progress to date.

Currently working through FORCE which seems to be clicking better for me than other sources like Proko or Hampton.

Naturally some NSFW ahead what with nude bodies.

Are you doing Proko? That's really nice improvement btw

I didn't find Proko explained stuff well enough for me. I've picked up bits and pieces from all over the place. Some of the recent stuff I took up a 2 day trial of Mike Mattesi's FORCE course online which helped a bit. I still don't really get what I'm doing though. lol

It's also more than that - it's a hand-picked recommendation of something I've used myself. If you're interested, here is a full list.

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
