While I wait for my assignment to be marked as complete, I wanna ask you what exercises to do other than drawabox?

You can do whatever you like outside Draw a Box, hence I don't know what would suit your interests best, but Alphonso Dunn has a very nice YouTube channel with playlists packed with exercises to be done with pen and ink. It's a great resource.

Have fun!

Probably should be trying to draw what you want to be able to draw rather than thinking in term of exercises as per the 50% rule.

That said, I cannot recommend Aaron Blaise's creature art teacher courses enough. I am halfway through his bird of prey course which clocks in at 55 hours of tuition! Mainly suitable for digital but not exclusively.

ComicAd Network is an advertising platform built for comics and other creative projects to affordably get the word out about what they're making. We use them for our webcomic, and while they don't pay much, we wanted to put one of their ad slots here to help support other creatives.
The recommendation below is an advertisement. Most of the links here are part of Amazon's affiliate program (unless otherwise stated), which helps support this website. It's also more than that - it's a hand-picked recommendation of something I've used myself. If you're interested, here is a full list.
The Art of Brom

The Art of Brom

Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.

The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
