Hi SPE,
Great job at completing Lesson 1!
I will be going threw each exercise and showing you were you need to improve on.
Superimposed lines:
Most lines are fine, they flare a little at the end but that is to be expected. Although, I can see in some curved lines both sides are flared (you can see this on the second page with the loop line and the big C line). This is easily fixable, just take extra care to always start the line in the same point.
Ghosted lines:
Some lines hit the points perfectly, well done! With others you usually overshoot/undershoot the point. Make sure to really go back and forth ghosting the lines.
Ghosted planes (+elipses in side of them):
All in all the outside lines of the planes are fine. Some can get a little wobbly. One thing I noticed is that many of the inside lines seem rushed and not accurate. All of the lines should go through the center point set by the two corner-to-corner lines. Make sure to do this step properly and not rush it.
The elipses are pretty smooth even though you have problems with fitting them in "snuggly". Again, make sure to ghost the circles as well.
Tables of elipses:
These seem pretty great to me. Especially the bigger and rounder circles. I can see many which are really well done and neat but some seem rushed.
Funnels:
Your circles are pretty good most of the time. Sometimes they have pointed edges which you can clearly see in the funnel exercises.
Plotted perspective:
This is your best excercise yet. Everything is neat and mostly accurate. And although it was optional you could have hatched one face of a box. That way you can clearly see how the box looks like that space. It's also good practice for further exercises.
Rough perspective:
This exercise seems very rushed. The lines are curving instead of being straight. Although the extended lines do go quite close to the vanishing point.
Rotated box:
Boxes seem to get smaller the further away from the point. Make sure you are rotating the boxes not making the smaller. Other than that, some hatching would also be nice.
Organic perspecitve:
This exercise is quite well done. On some of them you can definitely see the effort put into the lines and shapes.
All in all this whole lesson seemed very rushed. You can see great work which is percise and neat (even some of the lines are pretty straight) and others which seemed to be done without much thought. These lessons are not to be rushed!! Even if you feel bored at a moment, stop and come back to it the next day. Rushing exercises does not help!
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Next Steps:
Since some of them were rushed I decided to give you some extra work before you move onto the next lesson.
Please do another page of rough perspective (boxes) and elipses in planes. Take your time with them!
After completing those exercises, send them under this comment. I will also mark the lesson as complete if I see improvement.
