Hello, I'm going to give you feedback on your 250 Boxes submission. First of all, congratulations on completing it. This is no small feat.
Your lines are well done, with little arcing and precise ends. They were clearly ghosted and placed deliberately.
You added the optional hatching, which is good, but I suggest paying more attention to carefully ghosting those. They tend to be less accurate and are sometimes consistently arcing on the same box. Remember, every line is considered equally important in DaB.
You added the line weight to the silhouettes of some boxes. This is correct. t is often inaccurate, but they don't wobble and it's good you stay the course. I'd recommend ghosting a bit more before laying down the second line and making sure to start on the same point as the original line. You may also find more improvement if you add weight to every box, which it doesn't appear you did but correct me if I am mistaken.
Your box construction shows improvement, but you do have some common errors throughout. Your checking lines are mostly good, though you occasionally forgot a box or a line. You varied your convergence as directed, but the degrees of convergence are inconsistent between each set of lines. The lines tend to converge very quickly heading downwards, while a set extending left or right may be near to or completely parallel.
Second, your box orientations and dimensions show little variance. Earlier, it appears you are attempting to construct the same box in various orientations, which is fine. Later, the boxes on a page are nearly identical on both factors, which isn't the goal. You shouldn't be grinding out the same box. Often, the same errors are repeated with each one.
Due to the issues with box construction, I am going to recommend you do another 50 boxes. Focus on varying the dimensions of the boxes. Try to make one arm if the y very short or another very long, for example. Also, make sure the degree of convergence is fairly consistent in all three sets of lines.
Next Steps:
Draw 50 more boxes. They should have varied dimensions and orientations.
Ellipse Master Template
This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.
I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.
No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
