Alrighty!

Lines are good. They arc a little bit, in the ghosted lines exercise, but improve considerably by the ghosted planes, and fully, by the end of the submission. This is also the case for your automatic reinforcing habit, and the degree you'll overshoot, too, so nice job there. Ellipses are nice and confident, if a little stiff, in the ellipses in planes exercise. Be careful that you're not looking at the frame so much that their smoothness suffers. Confidence is the #1 priority. Once that's taken care of, then, start thinking of accuracy. But not until. The box section is quite solid, too. I'll mention that hatching lines, too, like all lines, need to be ghosted. If you don't have the patience for it, don't hatch. The rough perspective / rotated boxes combo looks great so nice job there. The organic perspective exercise is nicely done, too, but remember that line-weight (I'm assuming it's line-weight, and not automatic reinforcing) is to be applied locally, and to the silhouette of the box- never to the inner lines.

Anyway, consider this lesson complete, and good luck on the box challenge!

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
