Hey there mgdraw, congrats on finishing 250 boxes. This is no small feat and you have shown some good development through this. So let's get to the boxes!

Like I said, you have grown a lot in this challenge. Your boxes feel more solid and you are showing a better sense of three dimensional space. While there is still a lot of room to grow, you are definitely further along than when you started. I want to point out that quite a few pages feel rushed - especially with your hatching. This is an exercise in patience and mindset just as much as in three dimensional space so keep that in mind while doing these exercises that every mark should be thoughtful and deliberate.

In regards to converging lines, you sayd you struggle with getting the hidden point in the proper place and that is indicative of a lot. We shouldn't think of trying to find the correct point in the back, but rather getting all of the lines to converge uniformly to their shared vanishing point. This infographic uncomfortable made talks about how to view and approach parallel lines in perspective. The key point here is that all parallel lines can be viewed as a family, all tied together by the vanishing point. As the vanishing point moves, all of the lines are affected by a change in their interior angles. This means that as soon as you lay down a line you must start thinking about all the other parallel lines simultaneously. Often times students will focus too much on a plane at a time and do them with no regard to the other parallel lines so that when they are done they have 2 points of convergence instead of the expected 1. It takes a lot of practice to be able to "zoom out" and consider all the lines at once, but once you are conscious of this and practice it, everything falls into place.

So you have drawn your boxes and applied your line extensions. You used that information to improve from page to page. You did a good job varying your orientations and rates of convergence. I would have liked to have seen some larger ones so try to practice large boxes in your warm ups - one to two boxes to fill up the page. Overall though, keep up the hard work. Keep practicing your boxes so you don't get rusty, and we will see you next time.
