Should I get critique on my 250 boxes before I finish all 250?

Do I wait til I finish all 250 boxes or do I submit my 250 boxes for reveiw and critique? Also, is doing 30 boxes a day too many? I could draw all of them but I get the feeling that I'm rushing. Also, how important are my materials, I have felt tipped pens, but they're very cheap. They're the Taotree felt tip pens, each pen costs lest than 50 cents. Thank you in advance for responding to my questions.

When you do the Draw a Box lessons, it's best to follow instructions to the letter: complete the challenge first than submit your work for review.

But you can always read the text and watch the video of the challenge multiple times; it takes time to absorb all the information.

About your pace: if you're in doubt, slow down. The point of the challenge is to get the most out of it. Better invest one more month in your boxes and finish it with a stronger understanding of 3D space.

PS: I'm almost halfway through the same challenge.

Cool, thanks for your response.

Staedtler Pigment Liners

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
