So unfortunately throughout this lesson you were very inconsiderate. You see, my critiques require mistakes, so I can ramble on about them and feel like I've given the student adequate value in response to their work, but you've left me with no mistakes to call out. Your work is fantastic, and I'm not sure what to do with that.

I guess all I can do is talk about what you did right, mark the lesson as complete, finish the one critique I have left after this, then go eat pizza. And no, you don't get to have any of my pizza.

So! You've done an excellent job. At no point throughout this set did you ever do anything but precisely as much as was needed. You pushed the subdivision of every construction as far as it needed to go in order to find all of the specific locations for every further form that needed to be added. You demonstrated exceptionally keen observation to break down the complex structures of each and every object, and built them up to be solid and believable, with a clear sense of weight to each and every one.

I think my favourite by far is your spray bottle - these are not by any means easy, but you managed to pin down every curving edge with a degree of specificity that is honestly rather shocking. I honestly feel like I could reach out with a hand and grip the bottle's neck. It is exceptionally well constructed - you took a very difficult challenge and nailed it from top to bottom.

In all my gushing, I did actually find one little thing I could nitpick on. A touch of hubris. It does look like the majority of your linework was done with a ruler - that's not the problem. In fact, that's excellent. Making use of every single tool in your arsenal is exactly what I'd expect. The issue is that when you got into the really tiny forms - like the buttons on your playstation controller - you allowed yourself to freehand them, and perhaps didn't go through all of the steps you ought to have (with ghosting and all) to execute them to the best of your ability. And as a result, those buttons - especially the select/start ones - ended up kind of lopsided and skewed.

So! Now that I've identified your mistakes, I can go on feeling that I've contributed something of worth. But still - your work is excellent, and you should feel proud of what you accomplished. I do have bad news though - you're a hop skip and a jump away from Lesson 7, and while this one was a workout, that one is much, much worse. Something to look forward to.

I'll go ahead and mark this lesson as complete.
