Hey ????

Your lines are doing good. I notice some you have ever so slightly curves but thats a small amount as the rest tend to be very confidently approached.

For the Ghosted planes theyre looking great just some slight curvature to the lines but I wouldnt say it's anything major. It will get better with time.

For the ellipses your doing a good job but I would suggest focusing on these as a warmup. When you're going over them again it doesn't stay close to the first marks you have made, resulting in almost two overlapped ellipses. (Sorry im bad at explaining ????). As for the funnels you've done a fantastic job, I'd also suggest to try varying degrees as it seems they're all similar. Again I'm not sure if this was a must do or not.

For the plotted perspective I think you did a fantastic job! The rough perspectives you've also done well I just notices some wobbly/curvy lines but I saw it get better as you progressed.

For both the rotated boxes and organic perspective work, I think you did great!

Next Steps:

250 boxes next. Grateful job on lesson one, you got this!

Thank you for your insights :)

Thanks for picking it out that I curve my lines from time to time!

I did catch myself doing it sometimes so it is good to know that it is also noticeable by others, and it is not only my exaggeration. I'll try to work on that.

And as you've noticed elipses are my weakest side. As i was looking at others work I've seen that my ellipses are subpar, and i know i have to work on them.

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz

Rapid Viz is a book after mine own heart, and exists very much in the same spirit of the concepts that inspired Drawabox. It's all about getting your ideas down on the page, doing so quickly and clearly, so as to communicate them to others. These skills are not only critical in design, but also in the myriad of technical and STEM fields that can really benefit from having someone who can facilitate getting one person's idea across to another.

Where Drawabox focuses on developing underlying spatial thinking skills to help facilitate that kind of communication, Rapid Viz's quick and dirty approach can help students loosen up and really move past the irrelevant matters of being "perfect" or "correct", and focus instead on getting your ideas from your brain, onto the page, and into someone else's brain as efficiently as possible.
