Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes
12:15 PM, Monday July 20th 2020
Here's my complete lesson 1. Please say if I should repeat an assignment or move on to the next lesson. Have a good day!
Very nice job overall!
Lines:
You did some very nice even lines overall, a few of them here and there have a bit of an arc, but overall pretty good.
Elipses:
Your elipses are a bit wobbly, and on the elipses table you did too much of the same type of elipses. You sometimes seem to deform your elipses in favor of fitting them on their container. Keep it in mind when you use these exercises as a warmup.
Boxes:
Very nice overall, I do notice a few times you redrew some incorrectly at first. Try to avoid that in the future, you should let them on the page so you can learn from them. Aside from that, there's slight perspective issues but you'll get your chance to get better at those.
Keep it up, proud of ya.
Next Steps:
Proceed to 250 box challenge.
When it comes to technical drawing, there's no one better than Scott Robertson. I regularly use this book as a reference when eyeballing my perspective just won't cut it anymore. Need to figure out exactly how to rotate an object in 3D space? How to project a shape in perspective? Look no further.
