Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes
4:28 PM, Sunday February 16th 2020
Notes;
i) I struggle with ellipses.
ii) I'm aware that you're not meant to be drawing anything other than the exercises themselves but I was getting bored with ghosted planes and started making something out of them. It's kinda abstract so it would be cool if someone recognised what I was trying to draw. But I must admit that drawing a "thing" definitely distracted from the exercise itself and I started to forget to ghost my lines.
iii) I know it looks like I was scratching lines for rough perspective, but they were single ghosted lines. I scratched some weight onto them after first drawing them and tracing their vanishing points.
iv) I was experimenting with foreshortening on the organic perspective until I thought about it and worked out that there shouldn't really be any difference. The 4th set (which was the last set I drew) was where I stopped using foreshortening and I think it looks better than any of the others.
