I did the best I could, and it was interesting to practice with a few times. I hope the images do show up clearly.

how do you curve your lines so neatly

Honestly, I have no idea. It might just be muscle memory, but I do put my wrist in a comfortable but loose position so that it doesn't wobble too much and then i use my shoulder to guide me through the motion.

how lond have you been on exercise 1

I was on exercise 1 for about a week, which was a bit too long. Someone had pointed that out in the discord server and I took their advice and decided to post the finished work here and start practicing the ghosted lines. I kinda grinded on the exercise a bit, which was kinda my fault but it's just a habit that's gonna be replaced. Gonna make sure I don't spend too much time again doing the ghosted lines.

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
