Lesson 2: Contour Lines, Texture and Construction

Some shadows in Organic Intersections appear brighter because I took images with flash.
Hello, I'll be critiquing your lesson 2 submission today.
Arrows: The arrows are mostly fine, you've understood how to give them the illusion of depth. However, it would be nice if you added lineweight to the parts of the arrow that overlap when twisting, as this would give more clarity to how the arrow moves.
Organic forms: The degree of your ellipses are fine, but it seems you have trouble changing the degree of the contour lines. It should follow the same pattern as the ellipses. To help with this, try ghosting an ellipse in the sausage before placing down a hooked contour line.
Textures: Nothing to say, it's all fine.
Form Intersections: Again, no glaring issues, it's alright for now.
Organic Intersections: Only real issue is that some the sausages seem to be unsupported, and a little floaty. Try to imagine each sausage with a mass that will weigh it down on the sausages below, like a water baloon. Other than that, your shadows and contours are all ok.
That's it for now, keep what I said in mind for future warmups

Lesson 3
Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.
The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
