Hey! I'm Dead Dino and I'm going to review your homework from lesson one.

Lines

Superimposed Lines

There's fraying on the farther end, but that's completely normal. Just keep practicing those as a warm up when you do the following challenges.

Ghosted Lines

These actually seem really good. They're straight , clean and confident, with a decent level of accuracy, and they all seem to have been plotted. Keep it up!

Ghosted Planes

Just like the ghosted lines, these seem straight and accurate enough.

Ellipses

Tables of Ellipses and Ellipses in Planes

They are confident mostly accurate, hitting every edge with only a few inaccuracies here and there. However, you seem to be going over the ellipses more times than recommended (remember, 2-3 times, 2 preferably).

Funnels

You seem to be properly respecting the minor axis, which is great and the point of the exercise. However, the sizes are a little funky. Their width in the major axis increases way too fast, making them look nearly circular, while the ellipse in the middle looks way too thin and nearly crushed. Try to make this incremental change in with a bit more subtle. And once again, watch out for the times you go over the ellipses (3 tops).

Boxes

Great job drawing through all the boxes!

Plotted Perspective

These look super good! Although some of the hatching lines seem a little rushed and wonky. Remember to use the same straight, confident lines you've been using so far.

Rough Perspective

Your lines in this exercise are quite wobbly. Keep drawing them as you've been doing it so far, specially as you did in the ghosted line exercise, straight and confidently. It may help to draw them a little faster, spending more time ghosting them than actually drawing them, and remember to always draw from your shoulder. Confidence > accuracy.

About perspective, it's normal not to get it perfect right now. You will practice this in the upcoming challenges. Just remember that since this exercise is in one point perspective, horizontal lines should be parallel to the horizon line. Also, when trying to draw the lines that converge towards the vanishing point, It may help to ghost a line that extends towards the vanishing point, even though you won't draw it all. This is just to help you place the initial point as a guide.

Rotated Boxes

These are pretty small, which may make it harder to draw from the shoulder. However, I understand this exercise is really hard, and you're not meant to get it perfect the first time around. It is actually pretty good. Even though the lines wobble a bit, the perspective and boxes look correct, and they'll only get better going forward.

Organic Perspective

These are pretty wobbly too, so take into account what I said in the rough perspective exercise. The perspective has its hits and misses, and it is bound to improve when you tackle 250 the box challenge. Sometimes the jumps in size are too wide, breaking a bit of the space illusion, but nothing too bad. Boxes will make a lot more sense moving forward.

Overall, I think you have a good foundation. The biggest issue I see is the wobbly lines when drawing boxes, so remember to apply the same methods you used when drawing regular lines to construct them. You'll get a lot of room for practicing this in the 250 Box Challenge, so good luck!
