This one was hard but i sat down every day in order to be consistant (couldn't do it everyday but almost) and i was able to push through. It feels very rewarding to finish them, though i know more come!

At first I completrly ignored very foreshortened boxes, but then i read again the challenge and started doing 2 boxes of every page, very foreshortened, and the rest like normal.

I really really apreciate anyone that is taking time to review my homework, it really means a lot!

Hi weijak,

I decided to check your home work, so lets go with it.

1st of all, good job with this challenge. You are keeping converging lines for your boxes and you are extending your lines in a good direction, what is a good sign.

In your boxes i see you are struggle sometimes with converging of your lines from back corner. https://imgur.com/FGdtVwm Try this order of drawing your lines for your boxes. It should help you easier manage it.

I like your way of hatching for your front faces. and its good to see you were trying to put line's weight. Remember it should be subtle, so Single stroke of superimposed line its good enough. For some of lines I spotted you have wobble lines. Remember confidence of your lines is more important then accuracy. Keep practicing it in your warm ups to get your lines smoother. As well avoid correcting your lines. Its a bad habit.

Going through your pages i see your improvements and more confidence in drawing your boxes. Well done with this challenge. I feel you get a point of it and i will mark this challenge as Complete. Feel free to go on lesson 2.

Remember to do boxes and previous lesson in your warm ups. It will help you with future lessons and with confidence in your drawings.

Next Steps:

Go to 2nd lesson

Hi Hamsetro!

Thank you a lot for the review and all the help you give out in the discord server!

Regarding line confidence, you are right, I realize more towards the end that I would add line weight in a wobbly way because i didn't wanted to mess it up. You are totally right, confidence is more important than accuaracy.

Also, thanks for the tip on the back corner, I will take a look at it right now and apply it in my warm ups.

Again, thanks a lot for tankin some time reviewing my work and I hope I can give you back the favor some time!

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
