Hi there, I'll be handling your box challenge critique,

First of all congratulations on completing the challenge, not only does it allow us to develop our skills but also shows us our dedication to learning. It's by no means an easy task so be proud of what you've accomplished, as well as the dedication you've shown.

Your boxes to begin with were looking quite solid but you do show some improvement by the end of the challenge.

When drawing lines you're hitting you're not overshooting as often and in general your tidiness has improved. There are a few moments where it looks like you may be trying to correct mistakes when it comes to line weight, but ignoring that you've improved here as well. Remember that if we make mistakes we just need to work around them, they're expected and help us grow. I do recommend trying to implement some hatching in the future as it's more line practice and some people struggle to maintain their line confidence/accuracy until they build up more mileage.

You did a good job experimenting with orientations, proportions and rates of foreshortening throughout the challenge as well.

There are some instances where your lines converge in pairs rather than as a set but you've largely grown more consistent. Take a quick look at this example it shows how each line in a set relates to one another and their vanishing point. While you may have come to understand this intuitively while working through all of this sometimes having it described can help make the concepts more concrete. You'll notice that unless your box is quite long the inner pair of lines will remain fairly similar while the outer pair can vary a lot depending on the location of the vanishing point. The closer it is the faster the rate of convergence will be, while the further the vanishing point the closer to parallel our lines become. When drawing boxes in the future the key things to always remember are our lines should never diverge from the vanishing point, they should converge as a set and that due to perspective they shouldn't be perfectly parallel.

This critique was on the shorter side but there really isn't much for me to complain about in regards to your submission, you did a great job.

I'll be moving you on to the next lesson and marking your submission as complete, good luck!
