Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

Imgur scrambled the order of assignments in the album for this submission. I'm sorry!
Hello, I will be critiquing your work
Lines
starting with your superimposed lines these are off to a good start. You are clearly keeping a defined starting point. I think you could benifit from spending a little more time ghosting and remember to prioritize flow over accuracy.
the initial ghosting lines are a little wobbly but moving down they are looking confident.
looks like you haven't uploaded ghosted planes without ellipses. You were supposed to upload 2 pages of ghosted planes and 2 pages of ellipses in planes seperately. I am going to let you off this time but be careful while uploading homework in the future. overall the planes with the ellipses have turned out good.
Ellipses
In the funnel exercise most of the ellipses are aligned with the minor axis but you should try varying the degree of your ellipses.
Ellipses in the table are turning out good. some of them are coming out of the boundry of planes but this should improve with practice.
Boxes
-in the rough perspective you have drawn more than one line for the edges of some boxes but you should always avoid this. Also the estimations for vanishing point is a bit off but this should also improve with practice.
-you rotated boxes are looking good and I can see that you have commited to the linework here a lot better.
Overall the exercises of this lesson are done quite neatly.
Always use this lesson in your warmup routine.
Next Steps:
I'm marking your lesson as complete and you can move on. Good job :)
Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.
The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
